Workplace NHS Health Checks

About the Service

Kent County Council have commissioned Free NHS Health Checks throughout the county. The aims are to identify risks of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and stroke to enable early intervention and improved health. Providing these checks to your employees will help to encourage your workforce to stay healthier for longer.

Our team can visit your workplace to offer these Free Health Checks to all staff members.

We offer both Full NHS Health Checks for eligible staff members and Mini Health Checks for all staff that are ordinarily ineligible for the NHS service.

Arranging a testing event is simple, our team bring all equipment required for the health checks. All that we require from yourselves is a private space / room to carry out the checks alongside a few tables and chairs

We have visited a wide range of companies and our testing days have proven to be a great success, offering an excellent initiative for employees.

How does it work?

We offer flexible onsite services and can set up at your premises at a time that works best for your team. Appointments are available during standard working hours (09:00–17:00) as well as outside of these times, including evenings, night shifts and weekends, to accommodate all workforce schedules.

What does the health check involve?

During the health check a number of data points will be measured including: BMI, cholesterol, blood pressure and pulse. Questions relating to health and lifestyle will also be discussed and a cardiovascular risk score will be generated. The cardiovascular risk score is the percentage likelihood of developing a cardiovascular disease within the next ten years. A short consultation will follow to discuss the findings from the health check and provide guidance on next steps and referrals should they be required.

Are there any onsite requirements?

An adequately lit private space, with sockets, a table and seating arrangements. All event locations will be subject to a site assessment to ensure all health and safety protocols are maintained.

Where is the data sent?

As this initiative has been organized by the Kent Council, your anonymous report is sent to them. This may be further used by the council to generate public health trends and publication purposes.
